Why do my hands go numb and hurt while i sleep

every night i wake to my hands numb and hurting really bad!

My husband had this same problem for a long time. He went to the Dr and they checked his heart to ensure no heart disease or problem with that area and they also checked for nerve damage. They suggested he lay differently while sleeping which didn't help anything. He started drinking more water and Gator Aid for the added hydration and boosters. This has seemed to stop his hands from going numb while he sleeps.

A few other causes to consider could be carpal tunnel or what is called Raynaud's disease which is a circulatory problem.

Sounds like carpal tunnel. I had the same symptoms and I had surgery. It helped. Do you do repetitive work with your hands?

sounds to me that you sleep with your arms crossed or bent under your head. you are probably unaware of this and it cuts off circulation therefore making your hands and lower forearm fall asleep
