The best places to buy/sell pallets are... and this is obvious, but pallet yards. Many pallet companies have yards that will welcome anyone with usable (repaired or repairable) pallets to come in and sell what they have.
Prices vary considerably, so you might want to call ahead to get some kind of range as to what is usually paid. In most cases the actually price to be paid per pallet will depend on the condition and the company will have someone inspect them to determine what they are willing to pay per pallet.
One of the bigger places in my area is http://njpallets.com. Look for sites like this that specify that they do BUY PALLETS and then call them.
I should also add that the size of the pallet is important as well. Usually these places only want to pay you for 48"x40" pallets that are considered standard grocery style pallets. If you call a pallet company and they ask about the size or ask if they are GMA, GMA just means they're grocery pallets or 48"x40".

There is Only one kind and One Size that is Sellable and like i said i am about to pass out so i can not think of the peculiar name or Size But they have to be made with forklift accessibility on all four sides ! Ether way there called Grocer Grade is one proper name ! And Look in your Phonebook in the Yellow pages under Pallets and Pallet Rebuilding ! And they sell and are bought for $ 2.50 to $3.50 a piece as and when needed !
I don't know where you are located, but I live in a very rural area where there are lots of sod farms, and the the wooden pallets are used to stack sod on, to load and deliver to job sites. Also, lot of manufacturing plants use them to stack and transport their goods.
