You can show the boss what a hard worker you are once you land the job. But to show them you are serious, dress like it. Neat hair, lite makeup, big smile, and firm handshake.
Try to find something to insert you into his mind during the interview. Without coming off as a brown-nose, compliment his office or desk. Comment on something you are comfortable talking about. Ask him questions about this, hotel did you say? Ask him about how many guests he has in a weeks time. Ask what you will be doing every day. Insert yourself into The picture. Talk as if you are getting the job. It will force him To take you seriously.
Depending on the position your applying for. If its management, you should wear tan cackie pants and a long sleeve polo with a dress jacket over top. If your applying for the cleaning crew where nice blue jeans and a crisp white shirt. Make sure to have short hair you want to let it grow on them LOL.
I saw a show that said women should show as little skin as possible in an interview, including things like no open top shoes, no short sleeves, wear a collar that covers your neck, that kinda thing. I dunno how accurate that is, my GirlFriend was watching the Tyra Banks show and I heard that stuff lol. You might be a guy though, making this completely irrelevant lol.
Dressing up is best. Wear something that you would wear if you were going out to dinner with your parents - dress pants or skirt and a nice blouse. No jeans or low-cut tops. Don't wear anything flashy, including jewelry or overdoing your make-up and keep your heels lows. Keep it simple yet tidy.
