Absolutely no fried foods, or anything with heavy creams or oils. No gravies, no fatty meats. Actually just before I had my gall bladder removed, ANY food would give me an attack. (I had hundreds of small stones.) You may need to eat small amounts of VERY bland foods such as mashed potatoes, cream of wheat. The good news is: it'll all be better by and by. :-)

Examples of foods you should eat are beets, cucumbers, green beans, sweet potatoes, avocados, cold water fish like salmon or trout, ripe tomatoes and vegetable juices. You should ensure that you avoid taking eggs and dairy products.

For a bland diet you should avoid spicy foods or anything that causes excessive indigestion (gas) such as onions, cabbage, etc.
