The money you make all depends on what you think is a reasonable price. If you're watching a baby for an hour and a half, then you probably shouldn't be charging $20. I think a good price for babysitting is minimum wage for your state, if not a little more. However, if you're watching 7 kids, you'll want to charge maybe twice to triple that for a myriad of kiddos.
We paid $5 per child if we went out at night and $6-7 per hour during the day, depending on the sitter. My children are 15 months apart and could be like having twins, at times. we live near Philly, higher income areas would be expected to pay more
I get paid nothing. course, my bro is old enough to do things himself. but, i watch over him when my folks are gone. Though, to answer your question...they should get paid on how much responsibly and care the child or children need. or, u could set your own price for certain ages! hope this helped!!!
i have been a babysitter since before i got my babysitters certificate.. from my experiences, it really depends on the children first of all. if its 2 children, minimum i would say7$/hr. but 8-9$ if they are both under the age of 2. with experience your "rates" should go up. (how much your paid per hour). also mentioned, when the area your babysitting in is... wealthier, it would be nice for a babysitter to get some extra cash. another thing, if the babysitter goes to the trouble of cleaning up all the toys and cleaning your house while your out. tip them!!! it would be greatly appreciated, if u tip them for that u can almost expect it to be done next time as well. hope this helped!!
It depends on how long. If your babysitting for a 1-2 hours.. than 15 to 20 dollars, if your babysitting over night something around 50. Id say it only matters how much children if its over 3 than the amount should be a little more - doubled
that person should do $2 per hour. lets say you babysitted them for 5hrs. that means you have $10. and if you times that by two (10*2+= 20) because you are babysitting two four year olds. that person should do $5 per hour. lets say you babysitted them for 5hrs. that means you have $25. and if you times that by two (25*2+= 50) because you are babysitting two four year olds.

I got paid $40 for babysitting a first grade girl for 5 hours and she was asleep for almost 2 hours and I had to feed her. I am 14 and have a pretty descent amount of experience. I think I got over paid. $15-$20 would have worked for me. I live in Minnesota.
