My Maltese dog just ate a chocolate twix bar should I be concern?

My dog also ate a chocolate candy bar and was told by my vet that while he would possibly throw up and have loose stools it would not kill him just make him possibly sick. Don't panic just call your vet and see what they say. My dog was fine and has no issues from it.

I would take her to the veg ASAP, chocolate is poisonous to dogs, and you want to make sure that it can't settle into her system. Definitely take her to the vet.

Chocolate is poisonous to dogs in large quantities, I wouldn’t be overly concerned but better safe than sorry, sure take it to the vet.

Don't call your vet, they'll say to bring it in just so they get money out of it. Chocolate is NOT poisonous to dogs. I've raised dogs my whole life and a few times they have snuck in the kitchen and found candy they shouldn't have eaten but not one of them got sick

It depends on how much they eat and the size of the dog in most cases!

Our "Don", a St.Bernard Dog, eats chocolate often. (5 years). No health issues.

Just wait to see if she starts acting funny. A little bit of chocolate won't hurt the dog. If he/she ate like 4 bars then yes you should but just one shouldn't do much but get her an upset stomach. Keep an eye on the dog.

I wouldn't worry. Twix bars really don't contain that much chocolate.... And my dog once ate almost a pound of chocolate, and her only problem was a bit of gas. But I would keep an eye on her all the same, just to be sure.

just be sure to watch her/him to make sure their ok. my dachshund mix ate an entire advent calender 2 years ago and she was just fine but like i said be sure to keep an eye on her/him
