why do they call it a funny bone

Report as

When you hit your funny bone, you're actually hitting a nerve called the ulnar nerve. The name "funny bone" is thought to be a pun, as the name of the bone of the upper arm is the "humerus", which sounds like "humorous". It may also refer to the pain and tingling sensations that shoot down your arm when you hit your funny bone.
