For sure you should start with the usual places like the Pike Place Market and the Space Needle (about $15 to go up.) Check out the still great local music scene (Fleet Foxes, Pickwick, Macklemore) at places like Neumos, Showbox Triple Door, the Crocodile or the Paramount. Museums like the EMP, Asian Art Museum and SAM are great, and tons of great restaurants Downtown. You should visit the many different neighborhoods that make up Seattle like Bell Town (young fun bars), historic Pioneer Square (Underground Tour!), cool Capitol Hill, Freemont (Troll), Ballard, University (of WA) District, Greenlake and Queen Anne, which all have their own different flavor. Eastside (across the floating 520 or I-90 bridges) there's amazing shopping in Bellevue, Microsoft in Redmond and great (!) wine tours in Woodinville. Further east is Snoqualmie with a must-see waterfall and great ski/snowboard resort.
