Will offer u insight to understand people and their thought process and type of person u are dealing with when deciding what exactly the problem is, or how to pick up on things that may be dangerous to you and or themselves when they aren't clear I'n their own thought process and trying to tell you I'n other ways what they are looking for aswell as to pick up on people who are taking advantage with a not so healthy purpose for their visit (drug seekers)
I know a part of psychology is learning to tell if people are lying. Well this will help when questioning a patient. When you asking a patient about drug use or sexual activities, you have a better chance of knowing if they are lying or not, and knowing this will save there life. I hope this helps.
Psychology will help you to understand the way people behave which can be beneficial in medicine as it will allow you see signs of various mental health problems. Additionally, it will help with the empathy of your patients as well as in assisting them through the various emotional needs they may have. For example, should a patient die or be diagnosed with a grave illness you will be able to give them the tools to work through this emotionally.
