I have a window air conditioner how do I know how many btus it has?

I have a window air conditioner, but do not know how big it is. How do I tell by the model #?

The specifics of your unit should be on the plate that also has the model number and the serial number. So if you find the plate you'll find how many BTU's it has. It's probably on the part on the outside of the house.
