What is Ustream and how do you use it?

I always hear people talking about Ustream and I have no idea what it is or how to use it. Please Help!

Ustream is a website that is composed of different feeds that enable lifecasting and streaming of videos of events online. You have to sign up on Ustream before you use it. Go to the Ustream website and click on the sign up icon. You will be required to fill in on personal information then click submit.
