How do you tell a guy nicely your not ready for a new relationship yet? Without ruining your friendship.

i just recently (as of yesterday) got out of a relationship. There's this guy that i'm talking to. but I don't wanna. I don't wanna ruin our friendship, by telling him I'm not ready for a different relationship yet.

You have to be honest with him, just tell him what you're telling us.

It's hard for them to shift gears. He'd always think he could win you over. He doesn't want to be just friends. Break it off completely. You're seeking friendship; he's not.

You have to be honest with him, if he doesn't understand then he's not the right one for you.
