Ratatouille. Hubby & I have no kids, found this flick to be adorable, funny, a few sad moments, NO foul language or actions. March of the Penguins-a really cute documentary-is also very high on the list.

There are many new movies listed, but I'll give you some "older" suggestions: Black Stallion, Brave Little Toaster, Dr. Doolittle (not Eddie Murphy), Emil and the Detectives, Harry and the Hendersons, Paddington Bear, Madeline, Story of Babar, Uncle Buck, Velveteen Rabbit, Short Circuit, Mrs. Doubtfire, Splash, Jumanji, Bend it like Beckham, Phenomenon, Indian in the Cupboard and just about anything from Disney, ie Cinderella, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, etc. These would be safe for a 5 year old....I have other suggestions if you want more, but they're better for slightly older kids.
#1. Zoo Keeper is an amazingly funny movie, but it's also a family movie for people of all ages. #2. If you want to know the website that AlishaDarnell was talking about, then it's: SeeWinter.com usually she's not by the camra though. and last but not least, #3.Kids wouldn't like Gnomeo and Juliet.
The Great Muppet Caper is entertaining enough for a five-year old and witty enough for adults without any crudeness whatever. Any of the old Muppets movies are made for adults and still very suitable for children.
Encino Man <3 Its my fave I also love these witty shows and movies by John Cleese like, fawlty towers,Fierce creatures and if you don't mind silent films you should check out charlie chaplin. <3 my humor is silly &witty. I really hate sarcasm because it is rude and mean.
I really like pebble and the penguin and disney's robin hood, fox and the hound and fern gully was the shizznizz
As a family, we loved any Muppet Movie, especially the original..."Gone with the Schwinn," Hollywood, Ali-gator! Go into a search engine and pull up "Children's Movies - this will help you choose. PS - I did like Tangled!
