I'm 16 years old. Would you say my adulthood (18 years old) is a short time away, or do I still have awhile of childhood left?

You can be child at heart for as long as you want. But be mature about it.

Yes. Your adulthood is a short time away. This is demonstrated by the fact that at 16 there are even laws in some states that allows you to drive. There are also numerous job opportunities once you are 16 years of age.

Thanks. Should I start feeling *more* adult, or should I save it?

16? You should already be trying to portray yourself as mature.

You're pretty close to adulthood. But that's not a bad thing -- being an adult brings new responsibilities, true, but it also brings new opportunities and freedoms. And most importantly, you don't ever have to stop being young at heart: my grandfather (who's almost eighty) is still just as much of an irrepressible prankster as I am, and he always has been. I fully intend on following his example. . .

Enjoy your childhood! Everyone is in a rush to become an adult, and as someone who was in your spot a few years ago, it's not all its cracked up to be. Enjoy sleeping in, having no bills and spending time with friends. Once you become an adult you can never go back. Study hard, learn lots and have fun. Set yourself up for a great future.

I get it. I was kind of like that too. You have lots of time so you have a chance to get a good look at all kinds of different jobs. I thought I wanted to be a nurse but it's 4 years of university so I volunteer at the hospital. Turns out I didn't want to be a nurse, I'm glad I had a look before I got 4 years in. Utilize the time you have.
