what percentage of africa is rainforest

Report as

Rain forests are important ecosystems that sustain great biodiversity and are essential ramparts against climate change and global warming. Africa has the world's second largest area of 'undeveloped' or undisturbed tropical rain forest, most of which is situated in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Small areas of rainforest are scattered along the Atlantic coast of West Africa. According to one estimate, rain forests constitute about 5 - 10 % of Africa's total land area.
