If you bought a warranty on your phone. can you trade your old cell phone for a new one?

Report as

No. When you buy a warranty on your phone, you are paying for it to be replaced if the phone is lost or stolen, or gets broken through no fault of yours. You can only get a new phone of comparable value if the old phone is no longer available. Usually, you only get new one through yearly upgrades.

But what if you the newer one you wanted is only 70 dallars more. Would you trade it in for that one and paid 70 dallars. It by the same brand as ur old one is, Could they let you do that?

The carrier might allow you to trade up for the difference in price if they can resell your original phone... or... if you are willing to extend your contract. But, that has nothing to do with the warranty; separate issues. Talk to the carrier; they'll want to keep you.

Why bother, it will be out of date before you leave the store.
