How do i help my bestfriend that just broke up with her boyfriend. i want to be supportive but its just to hard what do i do?

i really think he liked her a lot but i dont know what to do its so hard to know what to do. she sried in the beginning of school and gave me the reasons that she broke up with him but they dont seem like legit reasons
they broke up yesterday and i kinda like her ex but how long should i wait?

How long should you wait?!!! No just don't even wait at all!! You shouldn't make a move on your BFF's ex! That's asking for drama and serious best friend issues (that's if she even stays your best friend)! If you seriously care about your friendship ignore the guy and focus on distracting her from him until she gets over it. That could work by fattening up together, movies, shopping, hair, nails, sleepovers, skating, yeah basically everything alyssacool said and more:) Good luck!!

why is that i love her with my life and i honestly dont think she would care at all and it would be normal cuz he dated my other friends but i never really liked him till my bestie dated him mostly because i didn't see him but what do i do????????

Are you sure she wouldn't care? Even if she didn't say she cared you really can't tell whether she's uncomfortable with you dating her ex. It'd sill hurt her feelings even if she was the one who broke up with him in the first place. I mean you could go date the guy, but I think I'd choose my best friend's comfortableness over some guy. Besides not going after him at all, I'd say wait a while until everyone forgets, then start dating him.

But remember to ask your best friend first!!!

The best way to support your friend is by being there for her whenever she needs someone. Help her take her concentration of her boyfriend by getting her involved with other fun things to do such as shopping or watching movies. Try not to talk much about relationships as it will always remind her of her past.

If she's going through hard times with her boyfriend, just encourage her and tell her everything is going to be alright. To me, that's the best way to reassure your friend at a time like this. I'm glad that you are being a great friend and trying to find a way to be supportive for your friend. Just tell her that if he fails with his other love and he comes back with sadness, just might as well tell him I told you so. Hope this helps but just to say that I am not trying to get in your business since you asked this question. :) Wish you and your friend good luck! Just tell her I'm not a date doctor. (:

Well since they just broke up yesterday I don't think you should be thinking about how to get him to be yours. He still loves her and im sure she cares about him even though it didn't work out. Give it time (and I don't just mean a few days) if he's worth it and she's your best friend give it time! It's worth the wait so nobody gets hurt.

Till he's over her and till she's moved on...and even then it's best if you ask her if it's okay(that is if you want to keep the friendship).
