there are many ways to prevent stress, like either listen to music, take a nap, take a warm shower or bath, and one of the major way ive learned to deal with stress is too not care about anyone but yourself (if that's your problem). it sounds selfish but your your main player its ok if you unplug from everyone else and their problems and just worry about yourself. And always remember no matter what life throws at you, you will be ok.
Whatever problem you can solve do your best to solve it if you can't, try to remove it off your chest. Remember we have only one life to live .Knowing when to lift when to put things down make life easier.Be happy with smile
Put your mind elsewhere...working out really helps in a couple of ways, it takes your mind of your issues as you are concentrating on your workout(use a dvd so that you have to focus on what the instructor is saying & doing) & working out increases endorphins which elevate your mood. Also, you could look into adaptogens which are substances(plant based usually) that relieve or inhibit stress. They are non-toxic for the most part & non-habit forming. examples are: Schizandra, Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, Astragalus, Jiaogulan, Maca Root & Licorice Root to name a few. I personally would recommend Rhodiola as it has many additional health benefits but, research them all & make an informed decision.

Do something you enjoy, sports, watching a favorite tv show, spend time on here? pretty much anything to send your mind thinking of other things. i recommend this in moderation but if you like beer drink a few, usually does the trick for me. and as for avoiding stress, do your best to stay organized such as bills, plans or anything work/ school related. if youre referring to a female/male then talk it out. don't let feelings just go, but remain mature and respectful.
