Do you think to an iPod touch should be $30 if its a 2nd gen w/ a cracked screen and if you barely touch the lock button it will lock?

Save your money and buy exactly what you want in much better shape. Don't just "settle" for something that isn't really what you want. Sounds like you'd be throwing $30 away.
