why did islam spread so rapidly

History shows us that the spread of the Islamic religion is mainly due to war and conquest. This is not a condemnation of the Islamic people, rather, it is a simple fact. Without force of arms against many isolated populations Islam's progress across Africa, South East Asia and into Europe would have been far slower and far less extensive.
