My sister hit someone's car that has PLPD and didn't have insurance, how long does she have to pay?

My sister does not have insurance on the car she was driving and backed up into another's car. The owner of the other car only had PLPD. How long would my sister have to pay the woman for damages? (We live in Indiana)

That is something she needs to work out, by talking to the woman or the woman's insurance company. They could work something out. Your sister needs to get liability insurance. This could be a burden for her, if she can't get it worked out.

It will have to be handled in Small Claims Court.
