Ziggy had the best answer. This new years I made a resolution to give up soda. I lost four inches ( a pouchy stomach roll) in just a few weeks. Soda is the worst stomach bloater! Watch your salt intake too. Drink lots of fresh water and diluted teas. You will see a huge difference! Promise. Oh, excess alcohol, especially beer, adds inches to the waist also!
Never drink a lot of fluid when you eat. Always drink a half hour prior to eating or wait at least an hour after your meal. Quite often the stomach is unnecessarily distended due to excess fluid. This also allows the food to digest better as the natural juices and enzymes are not being diluted. Try it for a month-you'll see.
