In a lot of countries Olympic Athletes do not get paid. A few of the examples are America and Russia, bonuses are proved for winning medals. In Russia an Olympic athlete will received up to 100k for gold, 60k for silver and 40k for a bronze. In America, it goes 25k, 15k and 10k for the medals. Most Olympic athletes make big money off sponsorship's or endorsements. For the most part Olympic athletes do not get paid beyond travel and living accommodations, which makes their accomplishments even more amazing.
