When you always have cold hands and feet, it could be the person's body that is like that and it is usually harmless. However, if the color of your fingers and feet go white or become painful when cold, it could be a medical condition called Raynaud's disease which can be treated with medication. You can visit a doctor for examination and for advice on the best course of action to take.
bad circulation... start moving around...cold feet and hands are not a good thing, trust me... i would be sort of scared to be honest with you. some people get dark purple feet due to internal problems.. i think they said no venus return?for one, others are different... start getting out and get active. its in your best interest.i dont mean to scare you... but ive seen alot and its best to protect yourself.
Shelby, Some people have cold hands and feet. My mom, one sister, and myself have that. My dad, and other sister do not. On a doctor's visit for a physical "check up", speak to them about this. Blood sugar or diabetes can be checked by a simple blood test. If they feel your circulation is okay, that can ease your worries. Remember, eating healthy foods most of the time, drinking plenty of water, and exercise is very important. I agree with some of those suggestions above. If you've always had cold hands and feet, that's probably normal for you. If it develops at an older age, there could be a medical reason. Hope this is helpful information for you, Kathi

this could lead to arthritis if left unchecked, at the very least I try to do as much flexing and wiggling of my hands/ fingers and feet/ toes as I can and it doesn't get as bad anymore... the why is that these "exercises" improve the circulation to those furthest parts of your body that get starved for blood when your body temperature is low (ie; when your outside too long in the winter). also, drink more water, as this will also help to improve the flow..... otherwise a doctor visit wouldn't be out of the question.
cold feet is an illiterate phrase meaning your nervous, when someone says, do u have cold feet, their asking if your nervous. when people use both cold hands hands and feet in this kind of phrase then it must look like your really nervous and freaking out.
i have the same problem too. its called raynards syndrome, a cicrulatory issue. the blood vessels in your hand and feet are smaller causing less blood flow to that area making them colder. there is no way to fix this because doctors doesnt know how this syndrome is formed but you can be cautious and take the needs necessary to make it more comftorable. see a doctor about this. if not taken care of this can lead to tissue damage and more dangerous effects.
Wear a hat of some sort. It keeps the body heat in. I have always been "Cold since birth" and at 43, I still am. I never liked hats or toboggans but american eagle or the popular trendy stores have real nice ones. In the middle of winter when I just can't get warm, I have even worn one to bed. A hot water bottle full of piping hot water is great to snuggle up to also. Good Luck !!
My wife gets cold feet and hands off and on, none of the above answers don't seem right, come on its not because you are nervous something is going on in your body and its telling you something, my wife found out the hard way by not listing to her body and she ended up in the hospital. The best answer is, is to go and see your doctor and not to second guess what it might be.
Cold hands and feet can be caused by low iron anaemia, diabetes, hypothyroidism, low blood sugar from low adrenals, extremely low blood pressure or bad circulation. You need to see a doctor, so he can test you to find out exactly what is going on. Take care! : D
My fingers and toes get icy cold and turn pasty white, then get numb. my Dr. said it was raynalds disease. When your hands get cold, your blood vessels close down. Then best thing to do is anytime you go out in the cold is wear a good warm pair of gloves.
it means you probably have poor blood circulation but it can also mean something else.i have cold hands and feet all the time even when there warm there still cold....it probably doesnt help when i go out in the snow for an hour and a half barefoot.anyway some people just naturally have cold hands and feet.
Ive heard....that when the quantity of Blood is less in body, not up to its requirment...hands and feet gets cold...& then after sometime..person starts feeling cold, even in front of slow fan..I mean..every where....in nice weather also
yeah,, I had the same problem also. But mine is worst, it's not just cold but I often have my hands and feet wet. I feel fine so I guess I'm not having any health problems. You don't need to worry about that. ^_^
I heard that it meant you always have a warm heart but than i found out that Raynards heart disease can cause this due to poor circulation so you might want to check it out but that doesnt mean you have it it just means you have cold hands and cold feet but women are always colder than men
