Can cats born in the same litter mate?

One of my cats was on heat and her brother started "playing" with her. He is neutered, but is it actually natural for cats to mate with a sibling?

Yeah... But when they grow up, they play Banjos.

Yes, they are pets, they are not very civilized in reproduction like most of us

Yes, but you should not let them.

My animals often try to mount each other-besides being play, as they're fixed, its also a dominance thing and is normal in all animal species-no reason to stop them from doing that.

Very normal. Most animals will do that if not separated from littermates before they mature sexually. Its nothing to freak over and with him neutered, nothing is going to happen. Let them play like that. May I suggest spaying the female? It won't stop that behavior, but it will be a heck of a lot healthier for HER. Thanks to the frequent heats that females go into, they're prone to reproductive tumors which are usually cancerous. If you don't have a specific reason to breed her, please do that for her.

This is a natural thing for one cat to become interested in another of the same litter although he can not perform the act . Don't worry all cats are naturally adopted by affection.
