All canned goods that you see in the supermarket or grocery shops contain “best before”, “consume before” or an expiry date either located on the label, top or bottom of the can. This is required in every canned goods manufactured. Actually, even the manufacture date is indicated as well. For canned meats and seafood, it is advisable to consume them within twelve months. For canned foods with high acid content, you can store them within a maximum of 8 months. Canned fruit juices have a shelf life of 3 years for as long as they are stored with the right temperature. Spoliage may not be the right term as long as the canned foods are not yet opened, but the quality diminishes.
