Jocab described what happened to me, too.
I was a nice looking little kid with fair hair and blue eyes.
Then, I grew into a plain looking adult, my hair turned dark brown and my eyes went pale.
Now I'm an ugly old man, without much hair and what's left is grey. I don't know what colour my eyes are now -- they're so dim I can hardly see them.
Why should puppies be different?
But they're great to have, aren't they!

That's very nice, Virginia. Thanks. I hadn't seen it, but since I follow Jocab I'd have come across it. He has an extraordinary range of knowledge.

Yes, that's how it goes. Kids are the same way as well, they normally have much lighter hair and sometimes they have a different eye color. In fact most babies are born with blue eyes.
