Is "America's Got Funding" legitimate?

If I give them a credit card number, to send them $29.99. Is that all their going to take? Is that all they're going charge me? I'm not going to get any surprises in my bill am I?

What made me curious about this is the fact my caller ID said "UTAH CALL" ..naturally, a business does not have an ID of this sort. I answered and told them they had the wrong number. I waited 2 hours and did a return call, it was the same lady. I called again another 2 hours later, it was the same lady. I did this throughout the day and the next morning, it was the same lady. The last call I did the same lady answered of course, I ask some questions, without telling my name of course. She began to sound a little scared. I asked, "what does your company do?" "what kind of loans/grants do you provide?" "what is your website and where is it?" and then I said thank you and hung up the phone. While I was saying thank you and good bye she was still talking as if trying to ask me something. I looked up the BBB and it rated them as an "F" and one of the reasons is it is not licenced. The other is they have 8 complaints pertaining to NOT giving services as advertised. Anyone that requests money up front for services as in grants/loans it is a SCAM. NEVER give your credit card number to anyone unless you investigate!

Well I think it is not legitimate. I don't see any reviews from people who actually give a good review of the website. You should never have to give money to start a job.

I just received a call from them as well. It showed up as "unavailable" on my caller ID. I have been a telemarketer in the past and am always weary. The man I spoke with had a very thick middle eastern accent, so I had a lot of difficulty understanding him. he told me I needed to pay $3.87 in order to fill out my legal documentation for the government grant I had been awarded for college (but couldn't tell me how much I had been awarded). I told him I wanted to investigate the company further because when i asked for their web site it was a .com...if it was a legit government grant the web address would be a .gov, I asked if I could look into the web site and he said I had to pay the 4$ in order to look...Then he gave me a customer service number to call back and his name "Leo Brown" (doesn't sound middle eastern to me). I then called the toll free customer service number I was provided with and it is always busy! 1800-558-0062...TOTAL SCAM

I filled out the application. When I saw that I had to pay, I looked up more information about them. I read these bad reviews and decided that I didn't want to do it. Even though I erased my application, I received a phone call less than 15 minutes later from someone. The number was a local number. I told the man to take me off of his call list. He asked if was not longer looking for funding or if I just didn't want funding from them. I told him yes, to the latter.

No, they aren't a real agency to give loans. The first giveaway is the unknown call or 000-000-0000,then they are very persistent on getting your credit card information.I told the guy with the strong Indian accent not interested, then replied in a manner that no professional government representative should speak. All professionals would at least apologize sorry we couldn't help you hope this helps you
