how can i make the redness of a sunburn go away

Report as

We get sunburn from too much exposure to the sun. This can be for long hours of sitting under the sun without sun screen, or any lotions with an SPF or sun protection factor to shield the skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Sunburn is a painful condition of the skin wherein the skin will peel, appear red, painful and is very sensitive to touch. To get rid of the redness brought about by sunburn, a cream with cooling effect together with an SPF can be applied. Oral medications to reduce pain may also be taken since it is over the counter, however, in the case of pregnant women, this must be used with caution and with the direction of the physician. Aloe vera gels, lidocaine cream is also recommended. Lidocaine is creates a numbing effect, since this is an anesthesia. Redness will come away as soon as the skin starts to heal. Take a rest away from the sun, and use umbrella and wide brimmed hats to protect the face and the rest of the skin. To learn more about taking care of the skin with sunburn, visit:
