Mucous, also spelled as mucus in the stool is a white clear discharge that is similar with the water coming out of the nose. Mucous in the stool can be seen in fecalysis, also known as "stool test" or "stool analysis". A number of mucous present in the stool can be from diarrhea, food poisoning, bacteria or even from food allergies. Mucus come out with the stool due to the bacterial reaction that happened inside the stomach and the intestines. Pain in the stomach and frequent defecation are the common signs. They signal the body that there is something wrong, and must be corrected. Modification in the diet and drinking lots of water will help.
