A hot air balloon works by heated air that comes from the fire of a big torch and when the air is hot, it rises so the balloon is lifted into the sky by air pulling it up.It has a rope inside that you pull in different directions to steer the balloon so you don't crash.

the torch heats the air in the balloon as soon as it's hotter than the surrounding air it rises as all hot air does the balloon holds the hot air and brings the basket up with it basically the same as a chinese lantern
