Why would i transfer files from the computer to my tascam dr-05

I want to record over an uploaded track is it possible with the tascam Dr 05

It is good to transfer your files from a computer to your tascam dr-05 because the overload point of its line-in capabilities is a full 10dB below line level. The recordings may also have a much higher level of background noise than normal.
