The amount of pictures a digital camera can hold will depend on the size of the memory cartridge used and the picture quality setting on the camera. A larger memory card will allow for a greater number of photos; however, this number is reduced the higher you set your picture quality. For example, you should get approximately 1,500 photos on a camera set to 6.1 megapixels with a 2 GB memory card. The number of photos will increase as you lower your megapixel setting.
