Why would someone join Ask.com, ask one question only, add about 80 or so followers and not answer any questions?

Not making any judgement calls, just would like to hear some different motivations for this act.

Hi! Silly And happy Christmas moment happening on ask.com. Dozy from the land down under has reappeared. A mini reunion is happening, if people can track him down. He is hilarious and charming. I am honored to be his newest follower/followee. I hope his old friends will enjoy catching up with him as much as I am enjoying meeting him. I am sure you all can navigate the site well enough to send him greetings and to spread the word. He is going to be so surprised. Have fun! Merry Christmas!

Maybe they were initially enthused, but lost interest after only the one question?

Sounds like a fake account. Someone that already has an account, then creates a new one, to hide behind it.

So, yeah, that's what I was thinking. Why would the person add 80 followers?

Glory: brush up on your teen itunes list and comebacks
Raleigh: they think Ask is a good social site but it isn't that site and they do not know that.

I actually thought about that Maggs, 'cause sometimes I just get in the "comment" mood. But... I just don't think so. I mean.... hasn't answered ONE question.

Following all those people makes it sound like a kid. I don't understand the game but there seems to be some kudos in having lots of connections.

Only one question? Maybe they got answers they didn't like and decided to give us the heave-ho.

Why would they follow 93 people?
Report as
Beats hell out of me. Maybe because they know a percentage will follow them back. it's like collecting postage stamps.

You mean follow 80 people, or get 80 followers? If the latter, it's spooky...

I think it's a lurker. Somebody's reading every word we write.... scary..... wooooooohooooo

You're funny.

I tend to get wigged out by people on occasion.
Once this person followed me & ONLY me! (When people follow me, I usually check them out.) When I discovered I was the only one being followed I followed back & this person then closed his/her account. Weird. (Time for your "woooohooo" again.)

Yes, definitely a wooooohoooooo moment.

Sorry about the humor... I know it oscillates madly between very childish and so rarefied, only I understand it.. My family is getting used to it...

No... actually I WAS saying you're funny! (I have GOT to start using those emoticons!!!)
