What certain foods should women stay away from while on their monthly period?
There aren't any particular foods that you should stay away from. I would say if you tend to retain water you should avoid foods with high sodium and don't add extra salt to your foods.
ginger. it makes cramps worse. Trust me on this i have had a firsthand deal with this one. I ate quite a few home made gingersnap cookies and found out the hard way.

chocolate, though u might not break out during ur period after ur period is gone u break out right away
try and not drink soda it also makes cramps worse :/
