I'm an atheist, and not at all shy about, but I have no problem being accepted anywhere. If you're worried and stressed about fitting in, or being accepted or whatever, than it's gonna show and people will avoid you instinctively. Just act like you belong wherever you are, be yourself and project confidence ahead of you like an icebreaker ship, smashing through the frozen waters of the North. Everything in life hinges upon your confidence in yourself, people see someone with a lot of confidence and they tend to pay attention, because that person seems like they know what they're doing and what they're talking about. Instead of thinking "Will people accept me if blah blah blah?", think something more like "I am who I am, accept it or get out of the way, cuz I'm comin' through!".
What does being an atheist? Have to do with you as a good person?! I guess I don't really don't understand your question? I'm a Christian but, I don't believe in religion! Only the Trinity. I judge no one, I accept everyone for who they are. Their beliefs are their own!
Yes. But as a person. And don't spread your belief. It will get you shunned. And I'm a Christian but I'm okay with it because my god said to not judge or hold people down for what they do. Like gays and atheists. I think everybody should love who you are if you're cool but not for what you do(atheism).
You have the right to your non belief. However, "When in Rome, do what the Romans do". Most people around you choose to believe in God. It is more socially acceptable not to make it an issue. You can find online sites to share your common interests with other atheists. To each his own.

I am not tryng to be weird- but, accepted for what? Accepted as a friend, accepted as a person? For ex. if you and I became friends I would accept you as a friend, but since I am a Christian I would witness to you.
