What the best to give a 4 year old for diarrhea?

Report as

The best remedy for a child with diarrhea is urging him or her to drink plenty of fluids. The best choice for fluid is Pedialyte, since the child is losing natural electrolytes. Pedialyte will help the child from becoming dehydrated and put those important electrolytes back into their body. Caution - do not give a child Gatorade though; this drink while good for adults isn't so good for children due to the high concentration of sodium. Another thing that a child can take is Kaopectate, the children's version of course. This will help calm down the stomach as it helps with firming up the stool.
