My wife was grabbed and pushed by her manager at work, is there any legal ramifications

she was minding her own business at work, and heard her manager (of whom she has had problems with in the past) so she turned around, as she did this her manager grabbed her by her shirt, hitting her in the chest as she did this, pushed her back and the pulled her back. The manager says she was just showing someone what she did to her nephew. I'm looking at this as assault, considering the problems they have had in the past. It was all caught on tape by the store cameras, but when my wife went to talk to the store manager about this, he acted like its no big deal. She is legitimately afraid to go to work and I'm worried about the backlash since the manager that assaulted her is of course in a position of power.

From this story it sound like you have a good case. You just can't do things like that in the work place. Talk to your lawyer, he should look into this for free and the sooner you do it the better, in case the tapes get erased weekly or monthly.

If your wife has mental duress from this action she can get therapy and counseling through disability. Financial settlements from this kind of abuse are usually quite lucrative and lawyers like the contingency work.
