What would cause me to get a second period 10 days after the first?

I got my period again after 10 days and I am on day 8 of the second. The first only lasted 6 days, is there any cause for serious concern???

Boys who can't handle stuff like this irk me. Look... If you're ever planning on getting married, having sex, or even having a girlfriend, then you're going to need to grow up a bit.

It depends. The first concern I would address is how old you are. If your period has just started, the first few years are going to be very erratic. Sometimes you'll skip a month, sometimes you'll bleed twice in the same month. Also, if you do any athletics, extreme body shaping for ballet or other acrobatics will really mess with your functions.

Oh, and just so you know that I know how you feel: my last period was in March of last year. Ridiculous, right? I got over the scare months ago, but I still don't know what's wrong. You really can't have it all that worse than me. I'm sure you're experiencing a normal development. :)

It could fibroid tumors. I had those and bled every 2 weeks, heavy flow & painful.

It could be caused by pregnancy. You can get implantation bleeding then your regular period a few days later. If there is no likely hood of you being pregnant, then you should see a doctor as soon as possible. It could be an injury or something worse.

it could just be stress or when you're young your periods tend to happen at very different times of the month.
Hope this helps :)

it might be that your body is trying to regulate it self by making your periods closer together. I wouldnt start to worry in less it keeps happening for two months (or more) and if you start and it doesnt stop then i would go to a doctor IMEDIALTLY because this could be a bad infection in your blatter that needs to be treated. But i should stop after a while

222YaYa222's tone sounds severe. You are not going to die from an infection. Infections don't make you bleed. If you had one you would be feeling pain and it wouldn't feel like a period.
I came across your question because I have same question too. I've been having a period for fourteen years now and I haven't had this before, plus I am on the pill. I'm monogamous and my husband has been out of town for the past month so there is a lot I can rule out. All I can think of is that my hormones must be out of whack. Also wondering if I took too much ibuprofen during my period and it thinned my blood...idk. I'm trying drink green tea, eat blueberries, along with my normal foods to help with detoxing in hopes that that might help.
Hope you feel better.
