Even if you feel your clothes are worn out I would still suggest donating them to Good Will or something along those lines. There are always people who could use more clothes.

Yeah not the greatset idea.. You can donate them to Goodwill or a third world country that needs them. Or if they're nice you can look up some consignment shops in your area where you can get money from them.

Consignment shops do NOT take old, worn out garbage-they take the "gently used" stuff, which her's ISN'T! Why would you suggest sending her trash to someone else to throw away? That's a waste of THEIR time!
Report as
Wow I mean if they weren't wron out like I SAID. "Or if they're nice" is what I saud jeez take a chill pill

Many shopping plazas have containers for used clothing. Some go to charities, but the worn out stuff is sold as scrap and ground into raw fibre for recycling into other items... insulation for instance. Cotton can be shredded and processed into paper.

Look for homeless people, give them to them. Or, donate them to Goodwill. Someone might need those. ;]
Hope this helped!

Try to use them as rags for around your house.

Have you seen the movie WallE? The earth is so gonna turn into a huge trash dump, complete with trash floating in the atmosphere.

As long as there is more talking in real life. WallE had the fewest words ever, other than silent films.

If your clothes are that worn out, why would you even consider donating them? Too many people use these donation boxes as their own personal trash cans-do you think these organisations want unusable items like that? Consignment shops only take the better items, not your old, worn out garbage, so that was a bad suggestion from someone.....cut those old clothes into rags to use for cleaning, or to put in an outside bed for the stray cats in your area-and strays are everywhere! If YOU think your clothing is too trashed and worn out to keep, chances are that no one else will want them either, even in the 3rd world countries! People DO have some pride, even if they're poor.

Jade- there is no doubt that trash is trash, but seriously, who these days is actually wearing their clothes until they're trash? We are so wasteful in this country. There is no doubt in my mind that absolutely wearable clothing is getting thrown out everyday. I hear what you're saying though.
Report as
Actually as someone who used to be homeless I know for a fact that people do use and need those clothes. Just because you are rich and ignorant to the world around you, that does not give you an excuse to be mean and hateful on here.
Report as
Genius- Jade is nowhere near mean or hateful. If you read what she's saying then you would have to agree with her. No one, and I mean no one wants a pair of pants with a huge gaping hole in the crotch. If the clothes are trash then they're trash.
Report as
You can interpret it however you want. Fact is the asker did not say that the clothes are too worn out for anyone but her to wear, so there is not enough information to be making general statements like what Jade said. It came off as very insensitive, I did read it.
Report as
The asker also did not mention a hole in the crotch. You are using pure conjecture
Report as
It says specifically up in the question "But my clothes is like really worn out" word for word. READ!!
Report as
I already did. I'm not some teenager that doesn't know what they are talking about. Also, please let Jade defend herself if she feels it is necessary. I was never really talking to you. Though I admit the words mean and hateful were a bit too harsh.
Report as
That's what really got me going in the first place Genius. I see Jade on here all the time, and I've never seen you. People blow things out of proportion on here all the time and I'll admit this wasn't my best moment, but Jade is not like that. Side Note- this is a public forum and anyone can weigh in whenever they want to, and they will whether you like it or not.
Report as
I understand. But also understand that I do not randomly attack people. Jade commented on my answer very rudely before I even spoke to her, which was really blown out of proportion, and i'm not a huge fan of retaliation, but she really is LIKE THAT. I don't respect or appreciate people who are rude to me for no reason
Report as
Look, anything written in capital letters can be misconstrued to be mean or rude( That Rhymed) I saw what she wrote, and if those capital letters were made lower case, then it's just another statement. SHE is just TRYING to get her POINT across. See what I mean. You seem like you know what you're talking about, and believe me the last thing anyone I talk to regularly on here want to do is argue about this stuff. I'll see ya on some other questions, Peace.
Report as
Agreed. Stupid argument it's done

Really worn out clothes can be recycled onto cleaning rags. If you have a city mission or homeless shelter, I would contact them if you feel the clothes still have some life. People stop in and out , and own only the clothes on their backs. In this cold weather, laying extra items would surely be welcome, even if they aren't in perfect shape.
