Why would my left side of my body go numb an start twitching then sharp pains going up an down my left side of my body

These are symptoms of stress that can even lead to a stroke. However, you should seek medical expertise since, many sicknesses have similar symptoms. It is therefore difficult to establish what the problem is without proper testing and check up.

maybe a lack of blood flow to a serton area or a stroke you should go see ur doctor
