What do Hindus and Islamists believe about the afterlife? How do they get there?

Well I don't know about the Hindu I think they don't believe in the after life but we the Muslims believe that if we do everything Allah(God) told us to do then if Allah have mercy upon us we will go to heaven if not then Hell to those who don't do the things Allah(God) told them to do.
I hope all the people chose the right path to heaven :)

They believe in reincarnation and then finally a state of peace (nirvana)

Hindu people and Muslims are nothing alike in their belief. In Islam, if you are a good person and follow the teachings of God (Allah) as revealed to his Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him; though I am not Muslim) then you will enter into a Heaven-like afterlife. (I believe this is metaphysical.) If you do not follow the teachings of Allah, you go to a Hell-like metaphysical afterlife. Hindu people believe in reincarnation. Upon death your spirit is reincarnated into a lesser or greater holy creature based on your righteous deeds. Eventually if you live a good enough life, you will exist in perfect community with all of life outside of a physical existence.

Yes, I do. I do not believe he was infallible, but I do believe he had messages from God to critique some of the Christian and Jewish errors of the day. Unfortunately rather than listening, we (Christians) started a war that is still going on today (although today the war goes by other names).
