Why is it that some people post videos on Youtube and they get like a thousand hits and when i posted a video I still only have 25 views?

I posted a cute video on YouTube, it has been there for a week or so. Now, it still has only 25 views! There are no likes, dislikes, and only one comment from my cousin! Why can't I ever make a video that is not popular????

It has to Get attention, send it to your friends and if they like it, they'll spread it around..and so on so...post stuff that your audience might like, if your the only one who finds it cool or funny then go for another direction.
