Here's a computer question.. Networked storage.. what route should I go and why?
I want around 10-12 TB of easily accessible storage via my local network.
I know I could go the server route.. but that seems very expensive and I don't need anything but data availability; For storing movies, pictures, music.. things of that nature; And servers have a lot of features and things that I don't need.. and make them expensive;
I was thinking about going the NAS route.. Seems like exactly what I'm trying to get; Seems like with NAS your spending about $75-85 per TB of networked storage;
I've never set up a home server or used NAS storage.. so not sure exactly how easy either is to setup and use.. But aside from just that.. I don't know what brand.. or particular product would be best;
Would like suggestions.. Keeping in mind that my primary usage will be to stream data to my other computers in the house.. that data mostly being movies or music;
