How many chickens are killed daily in the united states?

Report as

Apparently there are 23 million chickens killed in the U.S. everyday, for food purposes. That’s 269 deaths per second!

Apparently there are like 9 billion (8700 million) chickens born every year.

http://fatknowledge.blogspot.com/2007/03/9-billion-chickens-born-year-in-us.html

So 23 million * 365 days = 8395 million, so there is still more being born, than being killed.
