The person who replied above me is completely wrong. They have quoted a story from the world weekly news. The world weekly news is a tabloid that makes up completely ridiculous stories. Nothing they ever say is true. So no, it won't be shutting down.

Yes. SOPA has been resurrected. So yes Facebook is closing on 15 January 2013. Sorry Facebook fans, but it has been known as one of the biggest piracy sites. MegaUpload already suffered in January 2012, and CISPA is a new anti-piracy bill that will be more tyrant than SOPA and close sites like Facebook, YouTube and Wikipedia in 2013.

If you thought for one measly minute MegaUpload was the only website that suffered from SOPA, well sorry, you couldn't be more wrong. It may not have passed, but a NEW anti-piracy bill called CISPA (AKA SOPA 2.0) has been due.
Oh, and check out this insanely long list of websites due for closedown in the 2013-2015 term:
Wikipedia (along with the other Wikis) (1/15/01-2/24/13)
iGoogle (9/4/98-11/1/13) (Don't worry, the original Google will stay.)
The list goes on. This list is not even 1/6 as big as the real list. However, this excludes sites like Google, Answers.com, Ask.com, websites based on TV shows and movies, etc. Piracy isn't a victimless crime, so it's for the best. I will miss these websites!
