I have 2 baby red eared slider turtles which are not breeded and yet are giving mating signs. what is happening?

you said they are babies. that means they are too young to breed yet. they may look like they are, but they have to be mature to reproduce. also keep nesting material around them so they can build a nest and cover the eggs whenever they do have them.

This could be a sign of dominance and they may begin to fight. They may display the courtship dance but until they reach five years of age they are still not mature enough and they are unable to mate.

The eggs may have died keep a look out for pest on any new eggs
