A 2.0 GPA indicates an average C student. A 4.0 scale gives 4.0 for an A student; 3.0 for a B student; 2.0 for a C student; 1.0 for a D student.

I hope that helps!

LoLo365 you really defined it to the point but another helpful thing to help you know what your GPA is this site will help you http://www.back2college.com/gpa.htm if you only take 6 classes choose NP on the seventh one. Another tip every class you take is worth .50

This is a helpful site as well, but not all schools grade or calculate GPA in the same way. For example, on this website that you cited, an A- would calculate to a 3.70. This is not typical of most high schools. Most college prep high schools do not give or take away points for + or -. An A, an A+ and an A- would all be 4.0. If someone took six classes and received 3 A's (any combination of A+, A or A-) and 3 B's (any combination of B+, B or B-), their GPA would be 3.5.

I hope that helps!

What about overall Gpa?

bbBlonde_guy, the best thing you can do is to go see the Registrar at your school and find out how they calculate and determine your GPA. Since every school can do things a bit differently, he or she is really your best bet.
