My daughter is an avid reader - some of her favorites are : Among the Hidden series by Margaret Peterson Haddix, Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, I am number four series by Pittacus Lore and of course - her favorite which you already have - the hunger games. Hope this gives you some ideas and authors to look at. Amazon is really good at suggesting books based on what you've bought before.
I'd recommend the Harry Potter series, if she hasn't already read them. "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe, "Three musketeer" by Alexander Duma, I also loved Jules Verne at that age and dreamed of Captain Nemo.
Well, I'm a fourteen year old girl and my favorites are the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling, and Going Bovine by Libba Bray. Going Bovine is definitely for the more mature of us though. And if you don't mind language.
any of the books that tamora pierce wrote, mostly the tortall series. i read them when i was your age and have loved them since. they have the right about of fantasy and sophistication that a young adult book should have. hope you like them ^_^

the hunger games trilogy, its about the struggles of 16 year old Katniss Everdeen as she tries to balance love and war, North America went through a apocalyptic state were most of its edges sunk, the nation of Panem rose from the ashes of North America, there are 13 districts, 75 years ago district 13 had a uprising so the capitol burned it to the ground ( now there are 12 districts ) and every year the capitol makes each district pick 1 tribute male and female between the ages of 12-18 to fight in a humiliating battle to the death on live TV, the capital makes them do this in remembrance of the rebels that started the uprising, and so that they don't forget that the capital has the authority to destroy you if you lift a finger.
Well the best books in the whole wide world is the crank series, i dont remember who its by but i know that once you pic it up you can't put it down its A BIG BOOK but their r ONLY A FEW WORDS PER PAGE! and i personally loved the third one which has nothing to do with the first 2 so if You like romance, action, and a whole other load of magic read BURNDED its the story of a girl who has like 6 other sisters, an abusive father, and a mother who believes women should shut up and give birth and that's it well one day the main character gets in trouble and is sent to a farm with her aunt and their she mets a boy who she falls madley in love with and then......................................
It depends on what you are into. If you enjoy the science fiction/ fantasy of the hunger games, I suggest my personal favorite book, "Ender's game" by Orson Scott Card. Simply amazing and well written. If you like more simple, drama books, I can recommend Sophia Kinsella's books. They are definitely amusing and hard to put down. They are simple enough to relate to, and easy to read. I'm sure you'll love those if you look into them!!
