Ignore all previous answers hun. No one deserves to be treated this way and not all guys are mean like that. I suggest you wait until tomorrow afternoon and ask to talk to him. Tell him that what he said was mean and hurtful. If he was in some kind if mood he feel bad for hurting you like that. If he blows it off or makes it sound like no big deal or repeats that statement, I would break it off. Telling you that he wishes he was with a prettier girl is emotional abuse. If you let him get away with treating you like that he will see it as you are weak willed. He will start to say meaner things just because he knows he can (I am speaking from experience, I had a boyfriend just like that. I blew off his first few cutting remarks and it got so bad that he would say horrible things about me in front of other people). Bottom line- confront him, tell him you will not be treated or talked to like that. If his apology seems sincere you can give him one more chance. If he does this again, you have to break up. If he doesn't act sorry this time, same thing, be done with him. Men who say cruel things just to hurt you with no remorse will only get worse with time. You don't deserve that, you deserve to feel special and pretty. And don't let this get you down. Remember, this is HIS problem. There is nothing wrong with you. Good luck!

Get used to it. My wife has come to realize that men are not very bright when it comes to speaking before thinking haha. I wouldn't take it to personally. More than likely he was joking and just didn't think before he said it, eventually he will start thinking first but it takes a while.
